The Scholarship Prize Includes

  • One All Access Pass to the GDC 2018 in San Francisco
  • Accommodation for the 6 night stay in San Francisco
  • Flight expenses covered to and from San Francisco
  • Access to networking events specific to the scholarship programme

The internship prize includes

  • Two to six months paid internship at one of our game studios in the UK, Sweden, Spain or Germany
  • Opportunities within Game Development, Game/Level Design and Game Art
  • Breakfast Speaker Series throughout the internship, a great opportunity for you to meet key leaders from King
  • Training

Participation Procedure

The selection process takes place in three stages.

Round One
Follow the application link at the bottom of this page (Applications open on October 17th). Apply to the role that you feel is more relevant for you.
Only one application per candidate is allowed.
Each applicant must provide their CV and a motivation letter explaining why they want to be part of the Internship & GDC Scholarship including:

  • What excites you about attending San Francisco Game Developer Conference?
  • What is your favorite King game and why?
  • What game/s are you passionate about, and why?

Round Two
If you are chosen to move on to Round Two we will ask you to submit a video entry where you will further detail your motivation for King Internship and GDC. Details will be specified once you receive your confirmation e-mail for moving on from Round One.

Round 3
This video will be followed by face to face or video interviews with the specific teams you’d be doing your internship with. Final winners will be announced in December 2017, hopefully you are one of them!

Deadlines and Dates

  • November 17th 2017, Midnight CET – Deadline for all Entries
  • December 2017 – Final 5 winners are announced

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must identify as female (cis/trans-woman/non-binary)
  • Must be in your penultimate, or final year of University or Vocational school and considering a future with King. Please note this includes master level students.
  • Must be a permanent resident of any member state of the European Union
  • Must be eligible to travel to the USA
  • Must be able to manage the Visa process on their own
  • Must be able to attend the full GDC event; March 19 – 23, 2018 (travel to SF will be during the weekend)
  • Must be 18 years old or older
